Income & Tax Calculators

Find out what you actually take home — not just what’s on your offer letter. Every calculator here accounts for federal tax, state tax, Social Security, and Medicare so you’re comparing real numbers, not gross ones.

Why gross salary is the wrong number to compare

A $90,000 salary in Oregon and a $90,000 salary in Texas are not the same offer. Oregon’s 8.75% state income tax costs you roughly $6,500/year more than Texas’s 0%. Add differences in FICA, 401(k) treatment, and health insurance premiums, and two identical gross salaries can produce take-home pay that differs by $8,000–$12,000 annually.

Every calculator in this category applies the full 2026 tax picture — federal brackets, state rates for all 50 states, Social Security (6.2% up to $184,500), and Medicare (1.45%) — so the number you see is what actually lands in your bank account.
